Washington, D.C. — April 14, 2026 — Foundation for Financial Planning (FFP), the nation’s leading nonprofit dedicated to expanding access to pro bono financial planning for people in crisis or need, today announced a planned leadership transition. CEO Jon Dauphiné will conclude his tenure as he moves toward retirement following more than a decade at the helm.

Dauphiné will continue in his role through the end of this year as the Foundation’s Board of Directors conducts a national search for its next CEO. The board is seeking a leader who can build on FFP’s success to date and drive its next phase of growth — someone with a deep commitment to the mission, strong strategic and operational capabilities, and the ability to inspire and mobilize advisors, firms, donors, and partners nationwide.

The transition comes at a time of meaningful growth for the Foundation. In the past year alone, FFP:

• Reached more than 23,000 individuals in need through pro bono financial planning services
• Distributed a record $1.27 million in grant funding to support nonprofit programs nationwide
• Surpassed 250 nonprofits posting pro bono financial planning opportunities to ProBonoPlannerMatch.Org, with over 3,300 CFP® professionals registered as volunteers

Under Dauphiné’s leadership, FFP significantly expanded its reach, scale, and influence across the financial planning profession and nonprofit sector. He led the launch and growth of ProBonoPlannerMatch.Org, the nation’s first and only volunteer matching platform connecting CFP® professionals with pro bono service opportunities. He also spearheaded programs serving vulnerable populations, including the Pro Bono for Cancer program and the Retirement Resilience Program (RRP) for at-risk seniors, and expanded the Foundation’s corporate partnerships, donor base, and endowment.

FFP has also become the leading national voice advancing pro bono financial planning, working closely with partners including CFP Board, Financial Planning Association, and National Association of Personal Financial Advisors to expand engagement across the profession.

Looking ahead, the Foundation has set a clear vision: engage one-third of all CFP® professionals in pro bono service by 2030 and reach at least 100,000 underserved families each year.
