HOW WE’RE HELPING
Our work is more important than ever. FFP is committed to bringing pro bono financial advice to those who need it most amid the COVID-19 crisis.
Why Now’s the Time to Contribute from Your Donor Advised Fund. At the close of 2019, the collective asset base for all Donor Advised Funds (DAFs) exceeded $121 billion. With the COVID-19 crisis forcing nonprofits to cut services and staff or even shut down altogether, the need has never been greater for individuals to direct grants from their DAFs to keep our nation’s critical social services afloat. To make a contribution to FFP from your Donor Advised Fund, contact your DAF sponsoring organization and provide them with our Federal Tax ID: 58-1446336.
FFP & AARP Host Hotlines for Seniors in Need of Financial Guidance. Since last spring, FFP has collaborated with AARP on a virtual events educating thousands of at-risk seniors on how to maximize their Social Security benefits. Hundreds of CFP volunteers have provided pro bono financial guidance, answering questions via online chat and providing one-on-one consultations by phone. FFP will host its next event in this series in April/May 2021.
COVID-19 Resources & Webinars Available in Resource Center. FFP is continually updating the Coronavirus Resource Center with credible and accurate resources to help pro bono financial planners, their clients, our grantees and partners navigate this ongoing economic crisis.
